A new book that looks like a wonderful read: The Righteous Porkchop by Nicolette Niman.
As a frequent eater of Niman Ranch goodies, I can attest to the superior flavor of sustainably-raised meat. Thankfully, the majority of restaurants here in Berkeley - even little burger stands! - use their products.
For those of you in the Bay Area, Niman is doing a reading followed by Q&A at Omnivore Books, this Saturday the 28th from 3-4 p.m.
